Best Japanese Restaurants in Rancho Palos Verdes / Rolling Hills Estates

It was our first time had such a wonder time everyone was so accommodating from the manager to our girl Rebecca thank you so much!

Zoku is a hidden gem in the South Bay. Every variable used to rate a fine dining experience were 5 stars. The food was superb, plated and prepared with attention and love. Now this sounds unusual, but the preparation of food is an act of love and kindness and deep consideration. The entire wait staff and especially our waitress was so attentive and patient with our questions about each dish. The indigo dyed fabric and color variations were an extremely aesthetically interesting accents. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant, warm and fun which I find in combination a rarity. This is fine food prepared with warm hearts & hands.

We had a great time at RYLA. The food was on point, per the usual and we had great service. Our server’s name was Kim W, and she really took care of us. Coursed meals perfectly and was so friendly and accommodating! RYLA is a favorite of ours, and it never misses.

Took my son there last night for his birthday and I must say the three people working last night as the host were awesome. The manager too! We were a large party of 15 and at first we were going to be separate tables, but at the end, we’re all able to sit at tables across from each other. Our shelf was great and the chef that our kids had was amazing. We had Andre as our chef. He was great ! The three hosts and the front I know there was a young girl and two gentlemen. I only got one of the guys names and his name was Andres. I really felt like they were trying to help us and I truly appreciate that! The girl was very sweet and she was happy to see my family and I were able to all sit together. The staff coming out to sing to my son was in all honesty the best. My son had a great time! The manager on duty was direct and up front about wait times and what not and even tho people may take that as being rude, i completely feel the opposite. I appreciate her willingness to accommodate my requests !! Seriously! I must’ve bothered her like 5x but she was always willing to listen and help. We left the horrible service at Nelson‘s to find this gem of an Asian restaurant. Highly recommend the garlic noodles, bang bang shrimp and potstickers. Our waiter Tyler was perfectly attentive and had thoughtful suggestions. I do think Nelson‘s needs new management. I’ll just say that here.
