- MMeganWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was our first trip to Julii and we had a wonderful experience. Service was quick, friendly and professional. We have the evil eye cocktail and a French 75 - both were delicious and well balanced. We had 4 food items and all were delicious but the Crispy Trout stole the show. The presentation was beautiful and it was one of the best dishes I’ve had at a restaurant, ever. I feel the portion sizes were generous and well worth the price tag. We can’t wait to go back!More infoJuliiPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• North Bethesda•4.7
- AAdamGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was a tremendous meal, and a can't-miss restaurant when visiting Washington D.C. It was my wife and I, and we shared six plates: hummus, falafel, rice pilaf/barley, fried eggplant, brussels sprouts and (essentially) french fries. We were uncomfortably full when leaving, and this ran us a whopping $72 dollars before tip. Obviously if we had gotten drinks or wine, the price would have gone up considerably, but I can't imagine this kind of quality food in a metro area for $36/person in 2024. Plus endless homemade pita that was a cross between pita and naan was provided -- crazy delicious. The french fries had a house-made mushroom salt with a yogurt dipping sauce. The serving size on those were substantial, but basically they were just outstanding french fries. In terms of going for authentic Mediterranean food, we could have swapped this out for something else, but that was probably more our fault than theirs just having something a little more neutral on the menu for less-adventurous eaters. The other five items were all significantly above average, with my favorite being the sprouts and my wife favoring the barley/pilaf. Also, the speed with which we got through our meal was noteworthy -- one hour as they rotated through plates one at a time. It was a well-oiled machine.More infoZaytinya - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Penn Quarter•4.7
- MMarjorieWashington, D.C. Area •27 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoMy friend and I dined in the outdoor eating space at Iron Gate where there were impressive fires burning next to each table. We were snug and warm. Our waiter was so welcoming we relaxed and relied on his advice while ordering. Our food was amazing from the tasty welcome dish through the main dish and two delicious desserts. The young woman at the front door went beyond her duties to help us add a second ride to our taxi order. We plan many return visits!More infoIron GatePrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Dupont Circle•4.6

We highly recommend the Scallops over a safron risotto, Spicy Lamb Sliders and Chicken Souvlaki paired with the Malbec from Argentina. Our Server Camille who was both knowledgeable & charming. She helped to Make our evening most delightful. Being a former restauranteur I couldn’t help but notice that the Manager was welcoming & hard working. Give yourselves a well deserved Treat by visiting Cava Mezze. Be sure to make a reservation because the word is out. The place was full.More infoCava Mezze - OlneyPrice: Moderate• Greek• Olney•4.8
- SScottBaltimore / Maryland •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe stayed in the igloos, and everything about our visit was outstanding! The igloos themselves are private, warm, cozy, and have a great view of the water and Wharf area. The Bose speakers in there were also a nice touch. It was our first time in an igloo, and would love to do it again. The food was also fantastic. I expected it to be good, but it was even better than we had hoped. The first thing my wife commented was how fresh everything tasted. Be warned though, if there are only two of you, it is A LOT of food! Fortunately, we now have lunch and dinner for the next couple days. The minimum spend isn't cheap for two people, but you certainly get your money's worth. Finally, the service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and although I was initially a little concerned that we can't really flag anyone down in the igloos if we need anything, he was there the perfect amount to make sure we had everything we needed, but not intrusive. Overall, an excellent experience and aside from the ridiculous 4% service fee they charge, really nothing negative to note. This definitely stands out as one of the best nights out we've had!More infoLimani - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Southwest Waterfront•4.5
