Best Mediterranean Restaurants in University Hills

We had an amazing dining experience at Rioja! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We started with the picnic plate as an appetizer, and everything on it was absolutely delicious. Their house-made bread deserves a special mention—it was so good that I wish they sold it on its own. For the main course, I had the black-and-white pasta with seafood. The seafood was exceptional, especially the mussels, which were the best I’ve ever had—tender, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The pasta was equally impressive, tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My husband ordered the grilled Thai pork chop, which was packed with bold, flavorful seasoning and cooked to perfection. All dishes exceeded our expectations, and we left thoroughly impressed. The service was good overall. Justin’s hospitality truly elevated our evening and left us feeling well taken care of. We definitely would love to come back and try other dishes from their menu.

Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The food is always incredible. We did all appetizers and were thrilled with all our choices. We even ordered a second round of their falafel because it is so delicious. This is our go to restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

The service was great - we had multiple people check on us throughout our meal. The wait staff was knowledgeable and courteous. The food was delicious and different than what I typically see on menus in the metro area. All of the drink mixers and juices are made/fresh squeezed in house. I’ll be going back!

What a great place. I can’t wait to go back and sit outside by one of their fire pits!
