Best Organic Restaurants in South Norwalk

We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. The ambiance was natural and magically perfect! The food arrived fairly quickly, fresh and tasty. The staff are all friendly and we didn’t feel pressured to leave. The cafe is situated within a beautiful store setting which works great in my opinion. I purchased nice faux candles in the store section before leaving. I can honestly say we had a wonderful time walking around and looking at all the items and plantings they had available before leaving. Would I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely!!!

Fantastic food and service! Holiday music was a little loud but we still enjoyed our meal. Booths are comfortable but a little tight if you have more than 4 adults. We were a party of 5 and will request a round table next time.

Baldanza at the Schoolhouse is the best! It's head and shoulders above any other restaurant in lower Fairfield County. The food is perfectly cooked and presented every time. The attention to detail is meticulous. My water glass was refilled quickly. The staff is courteous, friendly, and efficient. Last night I had the veal parmesan with homemade pasta, it was outstanding. I always share the fritto misto with fried calamari and shrimp with friends. I had the homemade carrot cake for dessert. It was moist and dense with the right amount of cream cheese frosting and dollops of homemade whipped cream om the side. My only wish is that the dining room were quieter, it's difficult to have a conversation right across the table. My vote is 4.9 stars. I love the Schoolhouse!

Waitstaff couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive. First class service. This was our first time at Meritage based on high recommendations from friends. Food was very good. Dessert was delicious. Only drawback in our opinion was that everything was a la carte. Side of pasta, salad, cooked veggie, etc with entree was an extra cost. Chicken paillard was good as it was served with Caesar salad on top. Also, check your bill carefully. We were accidentally charged for a bottle of wine ($60) instead of a glass of wine ($15). Of course, it was corrected immediately.

Incredible food, killer dining and bar areas. We definitely will be back.
