The kitchen was a bit slow but Penni stayed on top of it. It was my birthday and the celebration was very nice.More infoMcCormick & Kuleto's Seafood RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Fisherman's Wharf•4.3
- KKarenVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •92 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWaterbar continues to be one of our favorites when we go into the city for a special occasion. It’s stylish without being pretentious, lively, and most importantly, delicious. We had the beet salad, the Dungeness crab tart, branzino, and black cod. All were excellent. The cod was melt in your mouth tender, and simply prepared, so the freshness could shine through. The warm brown butter chocolate chip cookie to finish was just right.More infoWaterbarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.6
- AAlexandraGreater Boston •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoI LOVE the Angler! It is such a great spot in San Francisco. Located along the embarcadero, the ambiance inside and outside the restaurant is great. I have dined here at least times now, and have not had a bad dish. The wine/cocktail menu is great, with a good selection of mocktails as well. Dishes to highlight from 13Jan: embered oyster starter, radicchio salad, hen of the woods mushrooms, skate wing, full chicken (the BBQ sauce it's served with is so good), and of course the sundae and chocolate bar dessert. We tried the frog legs as well as they are always on the menu, and I never order them. The flavor was incredible, and the fry on them was also very nicely done. Worth trying at least once, even if it's not your thing. I already can't wait to go back! Service is always great, very friendly and personable staff to make the dining experience more fun. I would love to see the chili crusted sea bass make it back to the menu, as well as the antelope (venison?) tartare, as that was also delicious.More infoAngler San FranciscoPrice: Very Expensive• American• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.7

A bit noisy due to the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference in town.More infoMastro's Steakhouse - San FranciscoPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown / Union Square•4.5
