Doug served delicious cocktails at the bar—a Manhattan for me, Negroni for my spouse. Then we moved to a nice table back by the wine cellar with Ashley as our server. I had my favorite seared ahi, my spouse had the parmesan sole and we shared the always delicious crab fried rice. We finished with a birthday dessert to celebrate husband’s 79th.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my 38th birthday at Ocean 48, and the experience was absolutely unforgettable. I was joined by a friend who was also celebrating a birthday, and the restaurant went above and beyond to make our evening special. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s thoughtfulness and generosity stood out. One of the highlights of the evening was receiving personalized birthday cards from the team—a small but incredibly touching gesture that warmed our hearts. To our surprise, the thoughtfulness didn’t end there. The restaurant even called the next day to check in and ensure everything had gone well, which truly reflects their commitment to exceptional customer service. The food was nothing short of phenomenal. We indulged in several dishes—almost the entire menu—and everything was absolutely delicious. Every bite showcased the chef’s expertise and attention to detail, making it difficult to pick a favorite. The manager and staff were the epitome of hospitality, setting a gold standard for customer service. Their attentiveness and genuine care turned our celebration into an extraordinary experience. I’m already looking forward to returning, this time with my mom, so she can also enjoy the amazing food and service. Ocean 48 is more than just a restaurant—it’s a place that knows how to create lasting memories. If you’re looking for a special dining experience, this is it.

My husband, daughter and I had Christmas dinner at Mastro's. It was so crowded, I would have totally understood if the service or food was lacking... but to my surprise, everything was perfect! Service was amazing, food was just as wonderful as always. The restaurant was lively and festive. Once again, dining here was a great experience. Definitely pricey, but worth it for a special occasion!!

This was our first time eating here. I had been at this location when it used to be Scott's Seafood. It has been renovated and the food is much better to my liking. It's all about the seafood, although they have beef too. We ordered 3 entrees... Sable fish in a spicy broth with thin soba noodles. The fish was a large portion and thick too. Scampi with parpadelle pasta. Wow, the shrimp were large and the pasta is one on my favorites with the sauces soaking all the flavors into the pasta. Cioppino was my favorite. It had prawns, salmon, white fish, calamari, clams, mussels all in the most favorable warm broth. We brought a bottle of champagne with us and they don't charge a corkage fee. Wow, can't wait to return again. The service was spot on. Our server was attentive and personable. Yum!

The food was amazing and the ambiance was perfect for a date night, but what really stood out was the attentiveness and professionalism that came with our server Shannon. She is what really made a difference in our experience at this restaurant. She asked if this was our first time and then proceeded to take her time going through the whole menu (drinks menu as well) and knew it like she made it herself. I never felt rushed and always looked after. I don’t do reviews usually but after coming across her I felt like this was the least I could do. She deserves her credit for sure.
