Best Seafood Restaurants in Solana Beach

Food was great. Service was good, but the waiter seemed to have forgotten about us for a bit and I had to flag someone down to go get him. Anyway, it’s a very minor complaint. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my date had the ahi tuna. Both great. Glad they accommodated my dairy allergy and my date’s gluten sensitivity. Great ambience and views also. I’m glad I went and hopefully will be back!

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner but though we noted it because they asked, it wasn't addressed. Not a big deal but wondered why they even asked if it was a special occasion. It is expensive and though nice inside and the waitress very nice and friendly, it's not a cozy warm atmosphere inside. We are in our 60s and it was chilly inside the restaurant. We were not near windows or doors but others around us were felling the chill and kept their jackets on. We didn't say anything so that's on us and we managed ok. This is our second time here and we had reservations. Both times walking in, no one is at the front desk. We waited for a good 7 minutes before a gentleman came from the back. Other staff saw us waiting but didn't say anything to us nor tell someone we were waiting. Then, when he did come forward, he looked us up and said he had to go church to see if he could find a table for us. After he left, we chuckled because the place was ½ empty and lots of tables available. Everything went smoothly with the waitress, very friendly and nice personality and smile which we appreciate. We ordered the chart your course meal which is $55 per person but when the bill came we were charged $60 for each prime rib and then separately for the salad/ soup and dessert. Not sure where the error happened, at input into computer or what but she got it corrected and it finally worked out. We definitely appreciate the complimentary valet as i have mobilty issues and even with our handicapped tag there's no place to park on our own close by. We tipped the valet. This is definitely a plus over PCG nearby. One more thing they could do for ambience is light the candles at the tables. The candle holder is there but none were lit in the restaurant. Would give the place a warm look at least.

We always have lunch at Pacifica Del Mar on New Year's Day. Has been our tradition for 25 years and there is no better way to start the new year. Beautiful ocean view, impeccable service, great menu selections, piping hot delicious food, wow factor cocktails...it all adds up to an amazing experience. Highly recommend. Try the prawn cocktail, mixed greens salad, sugar-spiced salmon, and burnt cream. Grapefruit martini was fire!

We love coming to the Brigantine. We are greeted warmly by the staff (even the parking attendant) each time we go. Our table positioned us to look over the Del Mar area with a wide view. It was beautiful. I ordered the lobster tacos and they were wonderful. Chunks of lobster inside a yummy coating and placed in blue corn tortillas along with some fresh, sliced vegetables. On the side, a few french fries, and then some fresh, lightly cooked green beans and pretty little carrots. Loved my meal. Daughter had fish and vegetables, husband had fish and chips, and we were all happy with what we ordered and too stuffed to share a dessert. We were well taken care of even though it was really busy when we got there. This is a tried and true restaurant and we will return soon.
