- WWelitonRhode Island •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoGreat views and food was amazing. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was always attentive and very knowledgeable about the food and her suggestions were spot on. She even got us a sample of a soup we didn’t ask for to try and it was delicious. I can only imagine what dining there in the summer months. Absolutely stunning. Will most definitely eat there again.More infoBoat House Waterfront DiningPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Tiverton•4.8
- MMartiGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThe food was good. We had the fish and chips, and, to this day, I will never understand why a restaurant puts a slab of fried fish on top of the French fries. I asked for the fries to be crispy, well done, and they weren’t. Our waitress had them redone, and they came back perfectly cooked. On a small plate. That’s how they should be served in the first place, I think. The fish was delicious. Very fresh, nicely cooked. The chowder was delicious. Not sure what the 2 ball like things were on the top of it. But I was happy there weren’t enormous amounts of potatoes. Plenty of clams!!! The wine that Amanda suggested was a bit bitter when it came. But once the Chardonnay warmed up a bit, it was delicious. The cheesecake my husband had was more cottage cheesy. Would have preferred the crust to be around the cheesecake, not sprinkled around it. It was an incredibly expensive lunch, that’s for sure. Thank goodness for the gift card. Appreciated that Amanda was very bright, and nice. Although I grew up around Boston, listening to her explain the different things that guests could enjoy was wonderful. Great to have a knowledgeable and affable staff, that’s for sure. - GGaryRhode Island •4 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 11, 2025We met up with a childhood friend of mine and his girlfriend for a wonderful lunch on a snowy Saturday afternoon. The host greeted us with enthusiasm, and our waiter was a pro. We never felt rushed… there’s a lot to catch up on after 50 years! The food was absolutely delicious, and our table was in a wonderful spot overlooking the bay and the gentle snowfall. It’s hard to imagine a better Saturday afternoon in Newport. We even celebrated our waiter’s recent US Citizenship after living here for 20 years. It was awesome!More infoThe Mooring RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Newport•4.7
- MMichaelGreater Boston •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024Christmas Eve dinner. Festive, lively atmosphere without being too loud for easy conversation. Service was excellent, beginning with the accommodation of a late addition guest. Staff was there for every need and question yet never made us feel rushed—even though our meal went past closing. I expected great food and was not disappointed. Oysters were particularly good and French-pressed coffee always adds a great finishing touch. My teenagers had a great time and have a new appreciation for real food. Highly recommend.More infoHemenway'sPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Providence•4.9
