Well worth the dinning experience - view of the city all worked in with the environment of the Restaurant. Entering a building off a laneway into a lift to the restaurant - very Melbourne .     If you’re feeling carnivorous, this is the place to whet your appetite..! I love the straightforward and simple menu. Honestly you really can’t go wrong with any dish here. Favourites are the succulent melt-in-the-mouth beef brisket and caramel short ribs. The strip loin steak is a close second followed by the sweet, tender pork belly. The sides are perfect - creamy mash, pickles and slaw complement the rich meat. Wait staff are super easy going, relaxed yet attentive. One of my all time favourite places.

    I loved it when it opened in the mid 1990's and I still love it now nearly 30 years later. Little seems to have changed at Il Solito Posto, which is a blessing - great food, great wine, top service and a great vibe. And the signature pasta dish"farfalle al salmone" is still on the menu. Magnificent!
