Best Steak Restaurants in Ridgewood

The weekend wine dinner included Prosecco or martini while you’re waiting for the table which was a nice touch. The food was outstanding and our waiter Sam was delightful with stories of serving many famous people over the last 25+ years. It was an enjoyable dining experience.

This is a brilliant concept for a restaurant- do one thing but do it spectacularly well. Medium Rare delivers on every level. It’s a cozy neighborhood place, off the tourist path and feels local. The hot artisan bread with butter starts the festivities, followed by a simply dressed salad. The blackberry sangria, Gold Rush, and Lavender 75 cocktails we tried were extremely tasty. The steak arrived cooked to perfection and the frites were some of the best I ever tasted. Apple pie with ice cream? Yes please. Unbelievably great dinner at reasonable prices, best meal we had in New York. We had a similar dinner at L’Entrecote in Paris, so I was familiar with it and eager to try it here. I wish more cities would develop this concept.

Food was excellent as was the service. The bartender, Sherif, could not have been better. The bone in ribeye was probably of the top 5 I’ve had. And I’ve had a lot of restaurant ribeyes. Excellent all around and for what we had, excellent value. Will do again.

Always a great experience! My older son's favorite I rite place to celebrate a wonderful personal event! The Strip House never fails!

Food is 5 star. Service is 5 stars. Everything is appropriate for a 5 star rating … except… one thing…. When I bring a special bottle of wine in for my birthday… don’t charge me $45 for a corking fee! $10 is standard. $25 is upper tier… $45 is stupid. Seriously that’s my only complaint. I go to Christos because it is superb quality. I am fine with paying more for high quality. But $45 for a corking fee… not reasonable.
