- JJonathanConnecticut •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoHonestly, for the vibe, the food, and the value, I cannot believe this isn't the top of the list for high-end restaurants in the area. It's an absolute Gem. The owner walked around and checked in on every table—a super friendly fella. The only thing I'd add is that you have to vale your car, which if you're on a date is actually a huge net positive, which I was.More infoTony's at the J HousePrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Greenwich•4.6
- CCasperSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIt was a cozy and lovely experience. We were sitting in front of the fireplace so it was also romantic. The waiter was friendly and the service was great. I would definitely dine there again.More infoGeorge Seafood & SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Greenwich•4.7
- NNicoleNew York State •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 15, 2024My husband took me to Averna this week to celebrate my birthday. It was, by far, the best dining experience we've had since we moved to New York last year. The restaurant is upscale, but cozy and we felt at home here. From the greeting to the goodbye, the service was as amazing as the food. The entire staff made us feel like they really wanted to take care of us; the water glasses always full, attentive, but unobtrusive wait staff and bussers and the owner was a great host to everyone. Hubby had a beautiful ribeye and I had a gorgeous filet mignon; both cooked to medium rare perfection. We ordered maple bacon Brussels sprouts (addictively good), lobster mac & cheese ("OMG" good!) and grilled asparagus for the sides we shared. We started off with the light and delicious filet mignon carpaccio for our appetizer and for dessert we had coffee and split a caramel toffee cake. I'm not a big sweets person, but that cake was flipping amazing and the perfect way to end a birthday. I can't wait for our next visit. I've got my eye on the branzino!More infoAverna Italian SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Rye•4.9
- LLizaNew York City •14 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 1, 2024Delicious! I had the field greens salad and my husband has the mussels with tomato sauce. The serving size of mussels was very generous. The filet was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were crisp and not full of added butter. I had the lemon cake which was light and creamy and my husband had the cheesecake. We will definitely go back! The large free parking is an added bonus!More infoAmerican PrimePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Rye Brook•3.6
