Best Steak Restaurants in Rancho San Diego

As usual excellent service and excellent food. Impressed that when my wife had an issue with one of her dishes and told it to the bus boy he immediately addressed the issue instead of, like most restaurants, telling her to speak to our server. It is one of our favorite restaurants, if not our favorite.

Animae for Valentine’s Day was a worthwhile epicurean adventure. Highest recommendation. Was it on the expensive side? Yes. One of the most expensive steaks I’ve ever eaten. Worth it. As the server said…decadent and unctuous. And the bonchon was perfect. Would have preferred to sit next to my date instead of across from, but I totally get it. Only so many tables and so much space. Our server was attentive, engaging, just the right amount of funny, and enhanced the experience. Every plate surpassed expectations by the 4oz A5 Miyazaki steak and deconstructed tuna crudo were my favorites.

My boyfriend and I came for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and we got a sangria and Old fashioneds which were great!!The food was AMAZING. The Parker house rolls, the mussels, the steaks 🤌🏼 The only negative thing I have to say is that because we had a later reservation (10:00) we felt pretty rushed to order our food, thus feeling rushed to leave. It didn’t negatively affect our experience too much because the food was so bomb but definitely expected a higher level of service (minus the bussers and food runners who were friendly and great).

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The ambience was just perfect, with cozy lighting and an inviting vibe that made it the ideal spot for a relaxing meal. Now, let's talk about the food – absolutely delicious! Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You could really tell the chefs put a lot of care and skill into every plate. All in all, a wonderful experience that I'd love to repeat. If you're looking for a place to enjoy great food in a lovely setting with excellent service, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

It was a wonderful experience. We were greeted at the door with big smiles and honored our reservation promptly. The waiter was on top of all our needs and even offered suggestions. The lobster was mouthwatering and the margarita was delicious and great becasue it was at a happy hour price.
