Best Steakhouses in Hato Rey Norte

First time in San Juan, we were looking for a great place to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and STK exceeded expectations. Luis Lamboy and Maria were both excellent and knowledgeable of the menu; both had fantastic recommendations. Our appetizer, the fried octopus, was a first for me and we absolutely loved it. The burrata was another hit; the basil and the tomatoes were so fresh and the flavors all blended together beautifully. For our entree, per Luis’s recommendation, we shared the 28oz porterhouse steak with parmesan encrusted mashed potatoes and lobster mac n cheese on the side. Once again, zero disappointments. The lobster tail served with the mac n cheese was juicy and flavorful, the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the parmesan crust provided a layered texture and a nice crisp, and the porterhouse steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare with a perfect crust as well, which I believe is very important when preparing a steak. For dessert my girlfriend picked out the choco coco, which consisted of a chocolate brownie, coconut ice cream, caramel pearls and topped with caramel popcorn. The dish offered a beautiful blend of sweet and salty, decadent and fun. The sparkler it was served with was a nice surprise for the occasion. Overall, as two people who also come from a service industry/fine dining background, we admit it can be difficult to wow us but STK was an incredible experience with delicious food, great service, and good vibes.

Food was excellent! I was confused as to who our server was. Anyone I flagged down was helpful but it was confusing. We were seated near the kitchen entrance so it was a little loud. However, we were first in line when meat was served so it evened out. I’d definite go there again

By far the most romantic dining experience we’ve had in San Juan! From the enchanting music to the exquisite food, every detail was thoughtfully curated to create the perfect atmosphere. The lighting was just right, setting a cozy and intimate mood. The attention to the small touches truly made this place stand out. This restaurant has quickly become our favorite, and we can’t wait to return!

We had our Valentine’s Day and celebrated our nephew’s birthday there and could not have been more pleased with our experience. What a great night and thanks to Jorge, he ensured that our experience would be a memorable. Not to mention that after we left our leftover behind, he even offered to bring it to us. Now that’s what I call service. Between the exemplary service and phenomenal food, this was a night we will never forget!! Thanks again!!

As always, great. The Tomahawk was very juicy and tender. The drinks are always good. The octopus with refrito hummus was excellent.
