Best Steakhouses in 39th St / Westport / Midtown

We love this restaurant. First it is beautiful but not trendy. Second the execution of the food is superb. We love the fact you can find traditional menu items still (today was Steak Dianne) and even though steak is featured there is always a variety of seafood, duck and lamb. Service was excellent also. They use first rate ingredients and sauces and salad dressings are house made and exceptional.

Our family of 4 dined at Eddie V’s on Christmas Eve. I used Open Table to secure our reservation. This was our first time dining at this lovely restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The food and service was outstanding, on what had to be one of the restaurant’s busiest nights of the year. We had a wonderful evening. Special thanks to our server, Blake.

Fantastic experience!! Due to a change of plans, we arrived about an hour early for our reservation on Christmas Eve and they were kind enough to accommodate us right away. I also want to mention that we originally booked a standard table but the high top was even better for the views and ambiance. We sat right in front of the most beautiful mahogany bar and got to watch the bartenders climb up and down the super high ladder. The food was all exceptional but the baked pimento cheese tray was to die for. The fresh baked sourdough bread was also phenomenal. We had mostly seafood and everything was delicious.

Wonderful night on the plaza, it was Christmas Eve, the afternoon crowd was perfectly controlled.

This place is just delightful! It’s an old speakeasy. The food is classic and delicious. The service is great. The jazz trio could not have been better. A must do in Kansas City!
