Best Steakhouses in Midtown / Uptown

The whole dining experience was good. The meats were tasty and cooked well. The side dishes were a little hit or miss. The service was great. The dining area looks aesthetically pleasing. There was enough space to move around given that it was a little busy Sunday night when we dined there. One thing I just noticed is that you dont have a choice about the gratuity, it’s automatically added 18% of your total bill, so maybe take note of that when you consider dining here. But other than that, we enjoyed our meal.

I would highly recommend this Keg location for its ambience, excellent service, and predictably delicious food. My friend and I had dinner here. Both of us are celiac, and the server was knowledgable about our selection. The manager came out and delivered the food, confirming that it had been prepared to allergy standards. 10/10 would recommend.

Linny's offers the whole package. A unique and elegantly designed space with an atmosphere that takes you back to the 50's, paired with warm service and delicious food. We started with the challah service, which is baked daily and served with a delicious housemade jam that apparently changes with the seasons. After that, a few noshes; the fresh house salad tossed with bulgar and champagne vinegraite, king salmon served with crispy potato latkes, and the unexpectedly delightful kasha bows pasta, which was complimented perfectly by the addition of truffles. For our mains, we enjoyed a combination of perfectly cooked hanger steak, mushroom crepe, and the crunchiest fries on ossington. The cabbage with beemster cheese was also *chefs kiss* 👌 Our server Vanessa and the whole team was very friendly, and we can't wait to come back. PS. The babka dessert was incredible, but also try the apple cake with a scoop of their vanilla ice cream for good measure.

All the food was excellent, heads up portions are massive, every starter/salad/side is sharable. We had the Caprese salad to start, which was incredible, if I had any critique of it, could have used a bit more balsamic glaze there were more than a few bites without any glaze on the tomatoes at all. As well, the tomatoes were so large that there wasn't even a 40/60 split of cheese to tomato which I think is the perfect ratio for this salad, who doesn't want cheese in every bite? The steaks were phenomenal, no question, can't go wrong. Almost so good, it is a wonder they don't put the main entrées in appetizer format so people would actually order them. The duck fat fried French fries were tasty, but I did find a lack seasoning to them. I found myself putting the steak salt into the ketchup just to add some seasoning to the fries due to how thick each fry is, not sure if that is intentional but just an observation. I would consider asking kitchen to salt the fries with any of the 3 salts before it gets to table so they can hold the seasoning better being fresh out of the fryer. The lobster Mac n cheese was excellent, period. Creme Brulee for dessert was delicious the berries were fresh and the cream was delicious. Service was top quality, only critique is that I found it took the service longer than 5 min to initially approach our table for initiating drink orders. Not a huge deal, but was sitting there wondering "wow, I'm surprised we haven't been seen by a server yet" And maybe a minute or two later he showed up, so do with that what you will. All in all, I would definitely go back for a special occasion. 4.5/5

Excellent food and outstanding service! The only issue I noticed was related to accessibility. My mother has mobility issues and had to climb 2 flights of stairs to go to the restroom. Apart from that, excellent experience!
