Best Steakhouses in Waukegan

The best steak and sides we’ve ever had at a resteraunt in our area. The steak is on a hot cast iron plate and stays warm throughout. The mashed potatoes taste like a twice baked without the skin. Serving size is plentiful. The waiter, busman, Chef, lady tending bar were so nice and always smiling. The design of dining room felt elegant. Their menu has various cuisines to choose from. We’ve been wanting to try Primo since they opened but never got around to it. Always navigating to places we’ve been. Well today is our anniversary and wanted to go somewhere special so we decided to eat at Primo. We are very happy that we made reservations. Primo is now our number one steakhouse!!!

Out first time to Gibson’s. Was greeted right away and with our reservation we were seated immediately with the patrons in front of us having a walk in 2 hr wait. Our waiter was AMAZING- apparently he is called the “Legend of Rosemont”. He was attentive, professional and went along with multiple husbands humor. We both ordered the different sized filets and were cooked to perfection! The Crème Brûlée was perfect! Overall a great first experience at Gibson’s!

Initial service was delayed but made up for with a very attentive waiter and our drinks were complementary. Loved the food choices we made.

We dined in the bar area at one of the high top tables next to the outdoor enclosed heated patio. Enjoyed the fireplaces and heaters with the open air. Decided to try their early dinner Pork chop special and you couldn’t go wrong! It was such a large portion and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the early dining option and will definitely be back!

The waitress was attentive. The food was excellent probably the best steak I’ve had in a long time.  is it is pricey, but you’re going to pay for quality.
