Best Vegetarian / Vegan Restaurants in Albany

Our food was delicious but I didn’t get to order what I originally wanted. I actually tried to order about 3 different things that they didn’t have. Air fryer was broken, some of the recipes take 24 hours and since the day before was a holiday they were out, and they don’t do happy hour if it’s a holiday. The server was awesome. What I did order was a burger and not what I wanted but it was a great burger. Now I know not to go on a holiday. It was my daughter’s birthday and he did comp her dessert which was a nice gesture.

Greens delivers well on vegetarian and vegan cuisine- all flavorful dishes- squash soup was outstanding! Love their seasonal menu - wish they’d bring back the persimmon pie/pudding they did a few years back! Also watching the sunset was beautiful through the tall glass windows Service was great and timely Love Greens!

A good waiter is essential to truly experience Pippal. This is NOT your neighborhood 'curry joynt' and if you restrict yourself to "old reliables", you will be missing out on dishes absolutely unique in the EBay! Indian cuisines/fusion are some of the finest in the world and Pippal is your chance to expand your culinary tastebuds beyond the 'same old, same old'. The Prawn Pepper Curry, Masala Mini Idli, Masala [French] Fries, Achari Paneer Tikka, Meat Dhansak Pulao and Chicken Dak Bungalow are some of the remarkable dishes we've had in our 4 visits. Order the beef rib-eye medium-rare; the baked bread underneath (the steak is whole, not sliced; atop the bread) is crusty but delicious together (ask for extra steak knives!). Note that current desserts are best shared by 2-4 people. Also, the new menu (on the back page) lists 3 levels of prix fixe dinners: the prices listed are PER PERSON, to be ordered by a group. Again, be guided by the waitstaff; if you love spicy food be sure to tell them!

Best Indian food we have ever eaten, hands down. My hubby is a food snob, hyper critical, never satusfied. Well, we went for dinner ( reservations made , thankfully) and had to go back for lunch! The tandori foods were fabulous, lamb , salmon, chicken, and shrimp. Loved the mango chutney, cashew naan (wow) , portabello mushroom appetizer (amazing), brown rice ( spiced with clove and cinnamon) , cardamom ice cream ( so unique) and the wonderfully patient and kind staff ( Nepalese servers and Indian chefs). Everything was off the charts! We were the last to leave both times so of course we had to leave a 100% tip! We will become regulars whenever in town! Job well done, Ajanta!

I love finding great pizza spots! This place is great and their thin crust is superb.
