Always great service, well timed dinner service. Attention to detail was quite good. We would prefer phones not allowed in the dining rooms, as it is distracting to the beautiful atmosphere and food. We do understand it is 2024 and social media is all over. We always enjoy our visits. Thank you.

Excellent service from top to bottom. Two managers came by to see how our good and evening was going. They congratulated us on our move and gave great tips on living in Santa Fe. The food was incredible, the space is beautiful. I recommend going around sunset… the entire resort is scenically gorgeous. It’s pricey, but in my opinion, it’s worth it.

Santa Fe
About the restaurant
Originally from Mexico City, Chef Fernando Olea, formerly Chef of Epazote, has been enthralling diners in Santa Fe since 1991. Chef Olea creates sophisticated flavors using Old Mexico’s indigenous and culinary traditions alongside ingredients from around the world. His menu is deliberately small, featuring fresh and locally sourced produce and meats when possible.

Nothing evokes the mystery of Mexican cuisine more than mole, a sauce of complex flavors that usually includes toasted and ground spices, seeds, nuts, chocolate and chile. Many mole recipes contain more than thirty ingredients and some recipes have five varieties of chile alone. Chef Olea is delighted to share his moles that include his "New Mexican Mole" that he created to commemorate Santa Fe’s 400 year anniversary in 2009. The large mural in the main dining room, was painted and presented to Chef Olea by Federico Leon De La Vega, a well- known artist from Mexico City.

This was our first visit to Sazon and it certainly will not be our last. The food, ambiance and service was unparalleled. We had the duck breast and the lamb chops - cooked to perfection and the accompanying moles and sides were delicious.

Our board loves coming here for the holiday lunch. Nice private room and waitstaff. We started with the great dumplings and calamari. The feature pasta was popular! Steak frites and tacos were delicious as well. We will be back soon.

We had a great night. I had a special request on seating and it happened flawlessly. We told our server we were headed to the theater and the timing was perfect. They have a magical way of staging the meal. We had plenty of time with our cocktails and then our fabulous and tasty meal including dessert. Two hours later we left. Reminder… do make a reservation. Two couples before us in line did not have one and while they were able to seat them in the bar, it seems to be so much easier to simply reserve.
