   Service was great. Server was very attentive and checked on us frequently. The food was awesome. It was served Hot & the taste was on point. The atmosphere was great. I liked that we weren’t cramped up next to anyone else. Although it did get a little loud at times, it was okay since everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a great birthday celebration for my other half. Thank-you!!

   Seemed as tho they were understaffed. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but we had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. Our dinner took forever to get to us. Underwhelming to say the least.

   Our server started by telling us they were understaffed, but the 30 minute wait for appetizers to appear was ridiculous on the heels of a 10 minute wait for servers first contact, then 20 minute wait for drinks. They did comp the appetizer. While dinner was good, it wasn’t enough to out weigh the very long wait and lack of attention.

   Great experience. Great food, great service. The appetizers ( roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower) and the butter fish were delicious.

   QUICK REVIEW: Nice view and location, Great service, Cuisine always great. Solid 4.8 Stars. Recommend. YES, we will be back. LONGER REVIEW: We travel extensively, and have been to Eating House 1849 (and Roy's), many times. Decided to come back. SERVICE: Seated promptly at reservation time at a nice table overlooking the ocean. Great view. Jason - our main server - was Awesome. He was there when you needed him, with a great attitude and advice. Nice job! FOOD and COCKTAILS. Had a Hawaiian Martini, Red wine by the glass and a Port for dessert. Wine, cocktail and beer list adequate for the venue. Pork rib appetizer to share, Butterfish and Ahi for entrees. All perfectly cooked, and nothing left on the plate. Very tasty. The lava cake to share at the end - all gone. OVERALL: Eating House is always nice, with a slightly more limited menu than Roy's. We are big Roy Yamaguchi fans, and tonight's dinner was pleasant as expected with all of his restaurants. Highly recommend. Only downside was a screaming baby in the background, but hey - this is a family place. YES, we would go back. Worth the little trek to Koloa/Poipu.

   I brought my family and 3 grandchildren at sunset, party of 7. Service was superb, our waiter and staff were amazing. Food was outstanding, kids meals came out early since they were hungry., Ambience and sunset were wonderful. We had 4 different entrees and both soufflés - perfectly cooked and tasted great. Will I go back? Yes.

   We had such a nice experience here! We had an early reservation and the most amazing ocean view from our table. Our server and the manager were exceptional. I tend to expect just ok food in Hawaii but our drinks, meals and dessert were awesome. Will be coming here again before we leave the island!

   We’ve eaten at The Eating House and previously at Roy’s. Last night’s experience was over the top. The food options we chose (Blackened Ahi and Hamachi Sashimi) were perfectly prepared with incredible accompanying sauces. We finished with one of our favorite desserts , a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a shot of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey. We’re going back soon.

    Everything was amazing from the waitstaff to the cocktails to the food. Cannot recommend the miso butterfish and potstickers enough. Really grateful for the beautiful experience here. Can’t wait to go back ♥️
