   Disappointed with quality of the food and service at this price point. Calamari was just ok. Seafood paella was very salty with very little seafood for the $59 price...not enough for 2 people to share. Pizza was actually better. Had to ask for serving spoons multiple times for the shared dishes. Had to ask for water refills multiple times. We had multiple appetizers at first and decided to order several entrees. Expected to receive fresh utensils, but instead the sever took the used ones off our used plates, and placed them directly on the table (no tablecloth) for reuse. We were rather put off by this. Will not be returning.

   One of our favorites to have Bruch with friends and family; However, the service was less than best today. Until next rime. Regards.

   It was Valentine’s weekend. The restaurant seemed unprepared. We ordered from the menu rather than the Valentine’s Day special. Our server forgot to put our dinner entrees in and it took over 30 minutes between our appetizer and our dinner. Plus they only brought one entree and it was 10 minutes before the second appeared. From the looks of things we weren’t the only unhappy couple. Not planning on returning, there are plenty of other places to eat in Monterey.

   Lovely ambiance especially outside. Food was just meh which was very disappointing especially given the prices

   The food and service were 100% perfect. My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day at Esteban, and we enjoyed it every bite. Servers were attentive, checking in frequently to make sure we were doing fine. We will return!

   I was contacted 2.5 hours prior to my reservation time of 8:30 and asked if I could arrive earlier. The hostess noted that although my reservation was at 8:30, the restaurant closes at 8:30. I felt as if it were inconsiderate for a restaurant to take a reservation at closing time. Although we weren’t rushed when we arrived, I felt as if the food was subpar, because it was near closing time. We had to wait a long period of time before receiving our entree meat, which was overcooked and dry. I will not recommend nor return to this establishment

   My wife and I shared small plates for dinner. Pulpo, empañadas, carrots, a pork dish. All excellent. Good selection of wines by the glass. Beautiful dining areas. Friendly service.
