   Fabulous food & romantic ambience. Service was very good, except the server said they would bring our app, salad and entrees in 3 separate courses, but they overlapped. Small detail. Highly recommend this restaurant though.

   We had dinner on Valentine’s Day. We arrived well before our reservation time so we sat at the bar. The Saserac cocktail was amazing! The host/perhaps owner was someone gruff, when we arrived and seemed annoyed, but when came to us at the bar to be seated he was kind and humorous. Something must have ruffled his feathers earlier. I had the salmon and my partner had the halibut, both delicious and perfectly prepared. My partner, however would have preferred risotto or rice pilaf with the halibut rather than white beans. I would definitely go back!

   We came for Valentine’s Day . My wife had the short ribs and I had the pork tenderloin along with the French onion soup and beet salad . In a word, everything was fabulous . But I especially wanted to call out the French onion soup. It was dynamite. I mean I’ve had mediocre French onion soup and the kind that takes significant time and effort to make. This was definitely the latter. It was so good, and prepared with cheese on top and sitting on bread soaked in the soup. Felt like we were at a bistro in Paris. And the cozy farmhouse atmosphere and moderate noise level made for a very romantic outing. Will come back again for sure.

   Was seated outside despite making indoor reservation, took 1 hr 20 mins since we ordered for food to arrive. Food came look warm, parts of it cold as if it came out of the fridge. Very mediocre bouillabaisse. Wine on the menu listed as 2019 but brought us 2020 year. Very disappointing experience.

   It was a great dining experience and our waiter was super helpful with the menu. It wasn’t very busy when we dined in and it was raining outside so we were all inside. Food was incredible. Only thing I would’ve liked is more speciality cocktail variation. They seemed super basic which isn’t a big issue but would have loved to see more creativity.

   Although it came quickly, our food was cold. From the appetizers to the main courses. I had to send my braised beef back to be warmed up. It was my Birthday and on the notes my wife let them know that and called ahead to remind them. They did not bring by the free birthday dessert yet a party at another table received theirs. Overall it was not the best experience for the price of the food. I would not return.

   Nice bar. Good food and service. Music a little too New Orléans and loud. Maybe vary the music a bit?

   We had a lovely dinner at Evangeline for restaurant week. The food was yummy, the service was responsive and friendly. The temperature in the restaurant was cold; we were told that the door need to stay open because it is a patio restaurant and there were some folks seated in the outdoor space. Could the staff enter and exit through a closed swinging door??

   The restaurant was nice and the staff friendly but they were out of everything I ordered. I tried to order the Evangeline steak. And they were out. This was early in the evening. It was still on the menu and they didn't set expectations when giving us the menu. I ordered something else and it was nice. For desert I ordered the bread pudding. The waiter took the order and came back with the lava cake. When we pointed out the error they admitted they were out of the bread pudding. Again the food was fine but the experience was diminished by the lack of everything I ordered.
