   Very tasty food, I had what was on the menu as gnocchi, but was actually a square patty of polenta. It was roasted eggplant on it and a very tasty tomato based sauce. Very reasonable prices for northern Virginia.

   Evening star’s food quality is average. It used to be considered fine dining. Worse yet, they’re very stingy with their wine.

   Food and service are excellent! If you're looking for outdoor dining, this is a great spot and well heated in the fall and winter.

   The website says the restaurant closes at 10. We invited guests for dinner at 8. We were seated outdoors enjoying our drinks and just starting our main meal at 9 when suddenly we were told that we had to order dessert. Ok, we did. Then the music was dialed up so loud that we couldn’t even have a conversation, and no one even bothered to clear our main course dishes so we could enjoy the hastily delivered dessert. Not the first time we’ve been rushed through a meal. Great spot. Poor hospitality. If you close at 9, change your website.

   Always outstanding food and service. Mate Anda is a BBQ master. Our server, Fiona was amazing. She anticipated our every need and took great care of us. Many thanks to Martha the manager for such marvelous oversight and care for everyone.

   Very nice neighborhood place with good creative food. Very nice outdoor seating if weather permits. Only complaint: the vegetarian eggplant dish seemed a little skimpy - should have had more eggplant in it. The pork chop, on the other hand, was huge and came with plenty of potatoes.

    We had a later (8:30) outdoor table near the street which was quite enjoyable since the crowds were light. Wonderful environment, great food and attentive waitstaff made for a very delightful evening!
