Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving authentic rustic Greek cuisine since 1995. Our fresh fish, savory roasted meats and grilled and roasted vegetables are perked up with a squeeze of lemon, a splash olive oil, and Mediterranean herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

We arrived about 20 minutes earlier than our reservation time, and we were seated right away. Ali provided a great service.

Good service and amazing food! I was surprised by how ginormous my rib eye steak was and thought it also had a giant bone in it based on its size (it had some small bone bits but not a big one and was mostly meat). It made the dish feel like an even greater value. My boyfriend had the goat with orzo pasta special and it was also very delicious. Love how high quality the parklet outside is, and the heat lamps kept us pretty warm on a chilly night. Great spot for a date night, and we saw some work groups gathered there for dinner as well as a few birthday celebrations.

Evvia was a comfortable and warm atmosphere. The menu was interesting and food was good. Service was good; however, we did not feel particularly welcomed. The service to the tables around us for those that were seated after us was clearly more attentive. We had to wait on some items and ask/remind about other items.

I have heard a lot about this place and was looking forward to going there. I was not disappointed. The interior is beautiful and the food was fantastic (more about that in a minute). What really put it over the top was the service. My waiter was engaging, friendly and always there when he was needed. The wine by the glass was a reasonable price, not the usual price gouging that you get at nicer restaurants (or any restaurants these days). The hostess/manager was incredibly charming and she immediately recognized my name when I came in and sat me down right away even though I was early to my reservation time. Now the food, I had the Kokokithi to start, butternut squash with feta and smoked Greek yogurt. Cut easily with a fork, sweet and savory with just a touch of smokiness, amazing. My main was Kotopoulo Souvlas, lemon-oregano roasted chicken with a side of broccolini and potatoes. Perfectly cooked, delicious chicken, the broccolini was spicy but not overpowering and the potatoes just fork tender, not over done. Just to point out the level they go for a good meal experience, the lemon to squeeze on the chicken was wrapped in cheese cloth so the seeds would not get on the meal. A small detail, I know, but one many restaurants don't care to do. Last, I had the dessert that was sent over by the manager (forgive me, I cant remember her name). This was house made Greek yogurt, whipped smooth, coated in honey, topped with hearts of dates, surrounded by fresh walnuts. Such a simple dish but so, so good. Overall an great experience and the price was fair. One last thing, I requested a martini, a dirty Gibson really, and it was made perfectly the way I like it; stirred not shaken, cold, three onions, with just the right amount of onion brine to taste. Love this place.

Both food and service were top notch! We especially like the Avgolemono and the Branzino. For the Avgolemono, many places don't have the right balance of lemony taste but Evvia absolutely nailed it. For the Branzino, it's my go to dish here. Need I say more?

We had a wonderful experience at Evvia! We were seated promptly and given our choice of tables. We chose a two top in a niche with another two top next to us. Staff attended us right away and brought water and our choice of beverage. We were told the specials, which, on this evening included goat, which I have never encountered on a menu in these parts. I was tempted but opted for the lamb kebabs which were very good and arrived with tzatziki, a salad of cucumber, tomato and red onion, and two or three French fry sort of planks. My dining companion and I both appreciated that there weren’t the usual huge pile of fries that can’t be finished. It was just the right amount of food. We both enjoyed our desserts, one, a plate for four honey-laced Greek cookies (melomakarona) and another a puff pastry wrapped vanilla custard with pistachio ice cream (Galaktoboureko) which was the winner of the two. My only disappointment was asking for my leftover lamb pieces to take home to our dog. I don’t know if they were forgotten or accidentally given to my dining partner but when I returned home the box only contained the honey cookies.
