Best Authentic Restaurants in Oakdale

Food was delicious! Try the Grilled Oysters. Yum!! We got a bunch of apps and snacks for the table so we could try a bunch of dishes. That's the way to go! Service was great.

Great little spot. I feel they were understaffed. Very slow service.

From start to finish, our experience at the Sunflower Cafe' was surprisingly satisfying. We were greeted with a smile and seated right on time. The Valentine's day menu was full of delicious choices. Cathy had the filet of sole meuniere, which she said tasted very fresh. I had the cassoulet, which was a HUGE stew with beans, spicy sausage, ham and duck leg confit. For dessert, we shared a scoop of vanilla ice cream drenched in an espresso shot. We even took home a slice of flourless chocolate cake which was still fresh the next day. This was our first time there, but definitely won't be our last!

This was not our first visit to Mythos. They were busy but it took a good 10-15 minutes for someone to come by to take our drink order. Additionally, the wait staff does not tell you about off menu offerings unless you specifically ask. The food has always been great but the service, although friendly and polite, needs some polish.

Good neighborhood place. It wasn’t busy when we were there, but it still took quite some time for our food to be served. Didn’t enjoy waiting…but I guess that’s the price of freshly-made food. We will continue to eat there.
