Originally from the Amalfi Coast of southern Italy, Antonio worked in Monte Carlo, then Bermuda where he met his wife Helen, an Atlanta resident. After moving to Atlanta in 1981, Antonio's life-long dream of owning his own restaurant became a reality when he purchased Nino's. For more than forty-one years, Antonio has taken pride in serving authentic Italian Cuisine made with fresh, imported ingredients and cooked to order for each guest. In 2006 Antonio's middle daughter Alessandra became the manager and has since taken over with her husband Micah. Alessandra and Micah take pride in keeping the long-standing traditions and reputation of serving exceptional Italian cuisine alive. Nino's has attracted devoted locals who return time and again, along with a long list of who had heard of Nino's reputation and stopped in to sample the fare. Many of the dishes on Nino's menu are original recipes brought from Italy by Antonio and his brother Giuseppe.     The volunteer historian was excellent. He sat with us at our table and gave us background history on Vic Bergeron (not sure of the spelling) and the history of Trader Vic’s and Tiki. Then walked us around the entire restaurant and pointed out things. He carried an iPad and showed us historical photos and shots from movies that were filmed in the restaurant. It was so enjoyable. He’s a volunteer so no fee, we gave him a tip.

    Outstanding food and service. Everything from A to Z, including drinks, the sashimi choices, and the grilled food was flavorful, fresh, and used top-quality ingredients. Our server was helpful and wonderful. She helped us navigate a rather long and daunting menu of many good choices.
