Best Authentic Restaurants in San Giovanni

Unbelievable steak! They bring out the different varieties of steak so you can see the marbling and make your selection. The steak has a perfect crust and the smell from the charcoal grill is magnificent. Gratin potatoes with truffle are highly recommended. Deserts were nothing special. Service was great. The only negative is the background music. It was 80’s elevator music and took away from the ambiance.

We were in Florence for almost a week and this was our FAVORITE dining experience! It’s family owned and operated, the food is DELICIOUS! Everyone is so friendly too. This is the authentic Italian experience you are looking for and it’s really well priced even given the proximity to the tourist traps by the Duomo.

Overall fantastic experience! Excellent service, beautiful entertainment, delicious food and great wine selection. We all enormously enjoyed our evening and stayed until the very end. Would highly recommend the restaurant for a sophisticated night out as well as for a celebration of a special occasion.
