Best Authentic Restaurants in West End

Maiz De La Vida is excellent ! It was a delicious dining experience that exceeded expectations. It is one of the few new Nashville restaurants that I’ll return to. My husband travels to Mexico frequently and said it reminded him of food from Mexico City, authentic, well seasoned, just enough spice. I highly recommend!

I’ve been a lot of places. My wife is Italian. I will say this is some of the best food around. Not just Italian, the best food. You owe it to yourself to go here!

We enjoyed Pelato. We took out 10-year-old so it was great being able to order tapa sized portions so we could all try lots of different things.

I really like this place. The servers were excellent with excellent recommendations for wine/ food pairing. I chose a special offered on a special menu. The special was a center-cut filet with roasted potatoes slice and black truffle. The steak was perfect. Very tender and delicious. My only criticism is that they served it without the truffles. I didn’t actually notice though until I was halfway through my dish. It was still delicious and I ate the entire dish. I brought it up to our waitress and just asked to charge me the normal price for their regular filet that is on the menu. She was very responsive and professional. She sent the manager/ owner over who was really apologetic. I told them the steak was perfect and delicious, no worries. The only thing I wish, was that I could have tried it the way it was supposed to be served, but had noticed too late to ask them to bring a new dish. I will continue to dine here, because the food is great, the service is great and the ambiance is very nice.

We found a gem of a place tonight I had the lamb Chops with roasted potatoes ,marbleized onions. Brussel sprouts the best I have ever eaten. My wife had the scallops and again she replied how awesome her dish was. The desert menus price were unbelievable From opening the door we were overwhelmed with service ,excellent food Highly recommend this spot
