Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. What s fantastic night! First: we were running late, I called and they changed our reservation no problem. Second: we asked to move tables TWICE and they moved us with smiles no problem. We ordered oysters to begin-wow were they delicious. Our craft cocktails were outstanding. We enjoyed our meal and lengthy conversation. After dinner we moved to the bar area to enjoy the band and more cocktails along side a beautiful crowd of friendly faces, the crowd was dressed trendy and fashionable. Loved the atmosphere and hospitality. A++ experience.

The service was excellent. Our waitress was very personable and friendly. The bus boy was on top of everything. When we asked for something there was no waiting. Probably the best service I’ve had in all the times I’ve been there. Very happy

Absolutely everything we ordered was perfect. And it was hard to make a decision so we’ll have to to come back. There were so many options that I loved. My friend and I ordered dirty martinis, mine had blue cheese, stuffed olives, and hers did not because she doesn’t like that. They were perfect. Then we both ordered a Manhattan with Rye, which was also lovely, although the restaurant should probably invest in some better cherries… You should have Amarena cherries on hand with craft cocktails. For appetizers, we got the risotto balls, the meatballs, and the artichokes oreganata… Everything was fantastic and we took some home. For dinner I ordered the Andrew’s chicken, my husband ordered the spicy chicken with the cherry peppers, and our friends ordered the shrimp over spinach. We were way too full for dessert but next time I’m getting the espresso martini flight for dessert! Our waiter was not around enough, but he was super busy from what I could tell— the place was jammin.’ However, there is plenty of other busing staff and food runners that were always on hand to help with anything we needed. We will definitely be back.
