Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! The restaurant has a limited menu but still offers a range of choices. I had the mussels and my friend had the hamburger. Both were quite good. The chocolate/orange mousse we shared for dessert was excellent. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass, which I appreciated. The place is within easy walking distance of the National Theater, and we ate there before the show -- a perfect spot to do so.

The best tea experience in Washington, DC! Service very friendly and top notch. I went for a friend’s birthday and we were greeted with celebratory champagne as soon as we were seated. Willard’s Tea Room expands tea seating just off Peacock Alley. We could still hear the piano and singer.

Food was amazing (as always)! Best rack of lamb I’ve ever had. Dined a bit late but everything was still superb! Service remained top-notch even though we were still sitting after advertised closing time. No rush, no pressure. Can’t wait to go back!
