Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. It has a nice ambiance, intimate, and suitable for conversation. We went on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was half full. We ordered the Short ribs, steak frites, and hamburger. All of us enjoyed our meals. The meat was done well, and portion sizes were good. It is an older restaurant with a classic charm. Service was on point. We celebrated a birthday and ordered the 13-layer chocolate cake. It was a fun birthday treat, and it was delicious, not too sweet. There was plenty to take home afterwards. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and exceeded my expectations.

Really nice server. Once we told her we had a show to attend she made sure we got out in time. Had good menu recommendations. Food was delicious, portions were great. Cocktail was awesome. French 75 I think it was. Really enjoyed our meal, would recommend to others!
