Five prominent oaks that stood in a semi-circle on the front lawn gave the estate its original name: Five Oaks. The estate has operated as a dining establishment and bar since 1961.The Oaks has become best known for the glorious wedding ceremonies and receptions held exclusively on the property. We are also well known for our traditional Easter, Mother's Day and Thanksgiving Buffets. We take pride in all of our social and business events that we host.The Oaks offers the finest in al fresco lakeside dining.     We had one of the best fine dining experiences at Pier W. My husband is on a very restrictive diet and I eat extremely clean. Our server, Samantha, was absolutely outstanding!!! Once we told her about our dietary needs/wishes, she immediately suggested we customize our dishes. We did and the chef did an awesome job! Samantha is as pleasant as she is knowledgeable. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone we came in contact with seemed happy to be there! Thank you for the experience!!! Can’t wait to return!

    We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and they made it special from the moment we walked in, with a Happy Birthday card on our table. The service was wonderful, thanks to Alexa, Michael, and the rest of the crew, and the drinks and meals were delicious. We enjoyed the jagerschnitzel and a special - veal osso buco. Dessert was almost decadent - the chocolate soufflé - It was worth waiting twenty minutes since it is cooked to order. We came home with some pastries to enjoy in the morning as well as plenty of leftovers for tomorrow night. My husband has declared The Blue Door Cafe his new favorite restaurant.

    The food was excellent. Service was kinda slow. Restaurant was beautiful. The river running along the side of the building was a very nice touch. Would definitely eat there again.
