- JJulieSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe Botanist was recommended to us by our nephew and since we were going to Vancouver we made reservations at the last minute. Brunch was the only meal available during our stay and we have zero regrets! The service was attentive, but not intrusive (shout out to Jess, who was friendly, professional and helpful - always able to answer our questions about ingredients and preparation style!). We opted for the full 3 courses and each was more impressive than the last. The aesthetics of each dish, the quality of the ingredients and the flavor profiles were absolutely delightful! Being able to enjoy the courses with a mimosa and a cocktail was a pleasant surprise, as well. And the drinks? Truly inspired! And then live DJ was a fun addition. We left feeling giddy, and it wasn't just the sparkling wine talking.... we felt welcomed, cared for and well-fed. Our experience at The Botanist was the perfect exclamation point on an already fabulous visit to Vancouver. We hope to be back again the next time we journey north ...More infoBotanistPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Coal Harbour•4.7
- SSteveLondon •6 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 17, 2024Having been to PAUL takeaways at airports and train stations in France and a Paul sit down restaurant I was pleasantly surprised to see the PAUL experience not only replicated in Vancouver, but uplifted. The food was great, the hot chocolate was the traditional Parisian hot chocolate. Awesome. And of course, even though we had a lot to eat… On the way out, we had to grab a few pastries for the road.More infoPAUL Bakery, Cafe, & RestaurantPrice: Moderate• French• West End•3.5
- TToddCalgary / Southern Alberta •18 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 17, 2024You always know what you’re getting here. Very similar to others in the chain, clearly the same menu. I was surprised how good the oysters were as Earl is not a place. I would ordinarily consider ordering oysters. Servers or nice and efficient. Also quite attentive. As always, I find Earl’s a bit overpriced for the quality and amount of food. In this case, this version of Earls is quite loud as it is a wide open space. All in all if you enjoy Earl, this is a good one.More infoEarls Kitchen + Bar - Robson - VancouverPrice: Expensive• American
