- LLizSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoToday, my family of 12 celebrated Christmas dinner a day late at Fogo de Chão, and I felt compelled to share our wonderful experience. While several staff members assisted us throughout the evening, one exceptional individual truly stood out: Monica. Monica was more than just a waitress—she was an absolute gem. Her kindness and patience made us feel like we were guests in her own home. She interacted with us in such a genuine and thoughtful way, going above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. At one point, we asked if she could take a group photo for us. Not only did she gladly agree, but she first took the initiative to clear our plates, ensuring everything looked perfect. She then patiently took photos of us in multiple spots around the restaurant, making sure we had options to choose from. As a business owner myself, I can confidently say Monica exemplifies the ideal employee—someone who goes the extra mile with a smile and treats every guest with care and respect. Her dedication and warmth deserve recognition, and I sincerely hope her efforts don’t go unnoticed. Thank you, Monica, for making our family gathering even more special. You’re a beautiful soul, and a true credit to Fogo de Chão!More infoFogo de Chao - San DiegoPrice: Moderate• Brazilian• Downtown•4.2

The great food and ambiance and staff have always bowled me over and have made this wonderful venue one of my favorite downtown San Diego restaurants. Of course tonight was a full house at 7:30 pm and i was very glad to see this!More infoOperacaffePrice: Moderate• Italian• Downtown•4.7

Valet parking made our somewhat tight schedule on a Friday night easier. Kids loved the Brussels sprouts & charcuterie plate. Daughter finessed Shirley Temples for the kids, bartender was unsure, probably not a huge call for them. This was repeat for us, did the matinee with lunch last year. Good food, drinks, great service!More infoBronze BirdPrice: Moderate• Californian• Downtown•4.5

Service and ambiance can’t complain. At the end of our meal they treated us with a celebratory song complete with a cake and sparkling candles which was really nice. This restaurant is underrated.More infoAKA San DiegoPrice: Expensive• Asian• Downtown•3.8
- CCarlaVIPSacramento / Sacramento Valley •12 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWhat a charming bistro! The cozy, inviting atmosphere is complemented by the green walls, which create a vintage feel. The staff provided exceptional service with upbeat, happy attitudes—you can tell they genuinely enjoy working together. The food and cocktails were outstanding. My steak and frites were cooked to perfection, and the clams and oysters, praised by our guests, were incredibly fresh with no hint of smell. The bibb salad was perfectly dressed, with subtle notes of Dijon and anise, making it ideal for sharing. While we ordered too many dishes to name, highlights included a perfectly balanced crème brûlée and a decadent chocolate soufflé that was well worth the wait. As a fan of Pali Hotels, I’m always impressed by their in-house restaurants, and this one is no exception. Can’t wait to return the next time I’m in San Diego!More infoSaint James French DinerPrice: Expensive• French American• Downtown•4.5
