Bright and airy, with a vintage retro style and featuring distressed wooden tables topped in white marble, salvage greenhouse window frames and comfy linen banquettes, Salt continues Avoca’s emphasis on serving delicious, seasonal dishes with largely locally sourced ingredients. Salt's name comes its Salthill locale - which itself was derived from salt works that were once here - plus the nearby sea and, of course, the seasoning.     We had a great experience at Host. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff are exceptionally welcoming. I could not fault a single thing about the experience. We had the chef's menu and each plate that came out was more amazing than the one that came before. The menu has clearly been carefully curated to showcase food in season at the moment, and the quality of the produce was evident and the value for money is second to none. We are already looking forward to our next dining experience at Host.

    Really lovely experience from start to finish. Service was really attentive and friendly. Lovely menu and we all enjoyed everything we ordered, from delicious bruschetta and aubergine parmigiana to gorgeous whole black sole, mushroom ravioli and seafood pasta. The homemade tiramisu was divine also! Looking forward to going back!
