I’m so impressed with this quiet little gem of a restaurant! This was my and my husband’s second time having Ethiopian food, and our first was 25 years ago. Das is located on a side street in Georgetown, with a great view of M st. The food is absolutely delicious! We started with the shrimp tibs, I had the veg sampler and hubs had chicken infillay. Service was impeccable, vibes elegant, and the whole experience was perfection. A must do!

One Michelin Star (and all that implies) with two prix fixe selections and alacarte menu. (1) Self select 4 items from 4 groups, $90) or (most) Chefs Selection 7 items plus desert ($150). We did Chefs Selection, excellent flavors and great value. The last dish was an aged duck breast dish with all typical Indian sides (Naan, rice, curry dipping sauces). We had a great time! The food was excellent and the staff was fantastic. We has a corner table with a great view of the water and Christmas decorations. The food was magnificent and the service was great. We will visit again sometime.

Returned and it’s even better ! They have refined their seafood tasting menu to a high level. We are talking Michelin Stars level of excellence here. Service is impeccable and the room and vibe are great. Worth a walk over if in Georgetown, a drive if in Dc or close by and a plane ride from anywhere now . It’s exceptional.
