- KkinSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoI recently dined at Son’z restaurant and while there were some enjoyable moments, there were also some areas that could be improved. When we ordered the red wine, it was served in a chilled glass, which was unexpected. Usually, red wine is served in a temperature controlled glass to enhance its flavor, so this presentation was a little disappointing. When we raised this issue with our server, he was initially a little frustrated. However, he later acknowledged our point and became more welcoming. During our meal, he made a point to check in on us, asking how the food was and if we needed anything else, which made us feel more valued as guests. Despite the initial hiccups, we still enjoyed our meal and the overall ambience. In the end, we decided to leave a tip of over 40% to show our appreciation, which made him very happy. It was a great way to end our dining experience. Overall, I appreciated the experience but hope they will consider tweaking their wine service in the future.More infoSon'z SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Kaanapali•4.6

The food is outstanding and the staff is amazing and the view is spectacular. I recommend this as a destination for all occasions.More infoMonkeypod Kitchen by Merriman - Whalers VillagePrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Kaanapali•4.5
- RRobinSeattle / Eastern Washington •10 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoHad the surf and turf. 7 oz filet was excellent with lobster ravioli. Would likely order just filet next time. The gratin potatoes were great also. Started with excellent crab cakes and the Caesar salad. The salad had great croutons but the dressing lacked flavor and could have used some lemon and anchovies. Sat outside which was a great vibe.More infoUlu Kitchen by MerrimanPrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Kaanapali•4.6

It is expensive as are most all restaurants on this island. We lined the food here better than the other restaurant on property, Pailolo’s. We especially enjoyed the salt & pepper wings but had to ask them to cook them crispy as the first time they came that way but the next time they were not & were very fatty. On Wednesday night they have a seafood boil pot that isn’t on the menu for $48 & it was delicious in fact much better than the one I had at Leilani’s but it was only $38. This pot had a delicious broth with lobster, crab leg, 2 shrimp with heads on , & lots of mussels along corn & potatoes. They have a drink of the day cocktail for $14.More infoAuntie's Kitchen - Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort VillasPrice: Expensive• American• Kaanapali•4.2
