Best Casual Restaurants in Newtown

We’ve been here twice now since they opened. The service is fantastic. We have only tried a few things on the menu so far and mostly everything was good. We got the lobster queso again and it did not disappoint. I recommend it. The homemade chips are seasoned perfectly. The steaks are good quality and cooked well. The salads are fresh. Last time I got a burger and it was delicious. I tried the hot honey chicken sandwich today and was not impressed, but think others would like it. We will definitely be back.

Iron Hill in Newtown has not been good for quite some time. However, last night was great. The menu seemed different and the food we ordered was good. Hopefully this is the first step toward them getting better 

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. Our server, Carlee, was so kind and attentive I felt like we were old friends. The atmosphere is perfect for a special dinner, yet not at all stuffy or pretentious. Ideal for a romantic dinner for two or a family night out. The regular menu is loaded with options. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious. I often get a veal dish because it’s tender enough to eat with a fork and I just can’t make it like that at home. I’ve had many of the pasta dishes, and the gnocchi is my favorite. The Valentine’s Day menu had a few themed additions, such as the Amore Arancini appetizer, comprised of three flavorful, beefy rice balls that we enjoyed. Portion sizes are large enough that we packed some up to enjoy the next day. The dessert menu has many tempting offerings. I was stuffed, but I made a selection to take home. We both agreed that we need to come back more often.

As always, a wonderful dining experience. Excellent food always and a great value. I dined there twice last week and look forward to my next visit.
