In January 2015 the original owners sold the business to Sunset Hospitality Group, a Santa Cruz family owned and operated company. We completed a full remodel of the restaurant, reinvented the food and service and opened May 7, 2015.The new Margaritaville is dedicated to serving made from scratch Mexican seafood in a first class casual environment. The burger I had was delicious. My husband had the braised short rib ragu. He loved it and I did too when I tasted it. The preparations were thoughtful and full of layers of flavor. I had a mocktail (ginger cardamom cooler) - spicy in a good way and fresh. We will return.

So happy to have found this little gem. Don’t let first glance fool you, the food is amazing. I particularly recommend the quiches and tacos. There is also a really cute little French Bakery inside the main restaurant. We sat outside and there was a little noise from street traffic but not too bad. Will def revisit!
