Best Casual Restaurants in Venice

Manager Jim and all the staff were so warm and accommodating as well as best seafood for the value in Santa Monica and beyond! We had wonderful lobster roll and black miso cod dinner and a complimentary birthday brownie sundae! Yum! Welcome to the neighborhood!!!

Sat on patio next the busy road. The some of the seafood tower was not very fresh. The oysters were fresh but very small. Scallops and jumbo shrimp were good. Grilled oysters were very flavorful but shrunk down to a small morsel. Grilled artichoke, Spanish octopus and carrot ginger salad were very good. The lobster roll (we chose hot) was very dry. Very pricey for the quality and quantity. Our server (I think Jason?) was great!

Wait team and service was A+- for New Year’s Day early, commendable!

I love Farmshop for lunch, but I think they need a bigger dinner menu. The liver mousse and avocado hummus were delicious, and we shared the mushroom bolognese. I asked for endive or any other loudest than chicory. They didn’t do that and I didn’t send it back, although I should have. It is a lovely place to dine and not overly noisy, but I wish there were more food choices.

EDGEMAR has become one of our favorite restaurants in Southern California. The food is consistently prepared with exceptional flavor profiles and authentic spices and the servers and entire team care deeply about creating & delivering best in class service and a welcoming environment!
