- JJenniferDallas - Fort Worth •9 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoAlthough I was hoping for brunch, and Cafe Modern only serves brunch on Sundays, I found the omelette with arugula salad to be a fine brunch item. The omelette was delicious and the dressing on the salad very good. They served a basket of focaccia bread which was exceptional! I also really like the mimosa drinks menu. I especially like the French Mimosa and find it affordable at $12. This trip to the Modern was to celebrate a friend's birthday, and she really enjoyed it. It felt special, she said. Another thing I like about Cafe Modern is the staff. I've been going to this cafe since it opened and the staff have been unfailingly pleasant and efficient. If you want to go somewhere without music playing in the background and no TVs, this is a good place.More infoCafé ModernPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Fort Worth Cultural District & TCU•4.6
- CclintDallas - Fort Worth •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoMy wife and I dined at Eddie V’s this past Friday night, Jan. 3rd for the first time. We arrived 15 mins early of our reservation and were sat immediately. Marcus was our server and from the start he made us feel welcomed, providing pleasant conversation with a smile. The food, overall, was terrific with two cons I will detail later. We started with Calamari and my wife ordered a 24 karat cocktail. Our entrees were a Chilean Sea Bass and a 10 ounce Beef Filet. Our sides were creamy mashed potatoes, scallops and Brussel sprouts. We did not have desert. Pros: The Calamari was very fresh and flavorful with a hint of spice, enhanced by the sweet Asian dipping sauce. The Chilean Sea Bass was mouth watering good, very buttery and the soy broth was spot on. The sides were large portions and very tasty, especially the scallops and the mashed potatoes. The filet was seasoned well with a great crust and it tasted wonderful. Cons: The filet was ordered mid rare and it came out more rare. My wife did not want to send it back so she ate around the center. 1 more minute on the fire and it would have been perfect. The desert menu was standard fare with no cheesecake, nothing to right home about. The cons were minor and the pros outweigh the cons. We really enjoyed our first visit and we look forward to returning. We will ask for Marcus again.More infoEddie V's - Fort WorthPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Fort Worth Downtown•4.7

The service was great, our waiter helped us choose appetizers and drinks for the table. We got the angry shrimp as an appetizer and they are HOT but delicious.More infoThe Social House - Fort WorthPrice: Moderate• American• West 7th Corridor•4.5
