Steuben’s is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940’s to the 1960’s on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, proms and sweet sixteens, and more. We’ve been here several times for their delicious pork chop, which was as flavorful and tender as always. However, this visit wasn’t quite as perfect as usual. My daughter ordered a hamburger cooked to medium, but it was served very well done. While she said the flavor was good, it was noticeably dry and overcooked. Additionally, our server didn’t check in to see how everything was, though we understand it was a busy hour. Despite these small disappointments, we still enjoy the ambiance, the usually great service, and, of course, the best tasting pork chop around, so we’ll definitely be back.

Food here is delicious, presentation is attractive, decor is cozy, service is friendly and efficient. The menu seemed a bit underwhelming to me at first with relatively few choices that I thought I would like, but everything I tasted was fantastic, so I got some culinary and gustatory education.
