Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence.     What a lovely festive evening at Craftsman Saloon. The outside is all decorated for Christmas and as soon as you enter, you are transported into a wonderland. The music and decor are beautiful. What a perfect way to cap off the Christmas season. The food was less than stellar but prices are good. Our server Brie was attentive and kind. We’ll definitely be back next year for drinks and maybe apps.

    I had the best experience at this location. The service was excellent and my waiter was THE BEST!!!! He was very attentive, gave great conversation and his customer service/energy was unmatched! My food was perfect, I couldn’t have had a better experience!

    Always a lovely time at Founding Farmers. We had our annual post Christmas dinner and had a wonderful experience partly in thanks to Brittney, as well as managers Troy & Matt. The staff here is always so friendly and accommodating. We loved the white pizza, as well as the shaved pastrami melt- the fries were so fresh and delicious. We will be back!

    This was a wonderful surprise find on a busy Saturday night! The menu is full of interesting items (we shared the spinach artichoke drip - so yummy!)the restaurant was decorated and festive for the holidays and our server was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
