Best Comfort Food Restaurants in The Gramercy

I always love this restaurant!! Today was the best yet with how great they treated us and my friend who was celebrating her birthday!!

Intriguing, interesting, different and a unique and imaginary plate presentation. We saw a U-Tube report on the Owner-Chef and the restaurant itself. We had to try it. We sampled 3 appetizers: Imperial Rolls, Steak Tartare and the Hamachi. All freshly made and tasty. Definitely Asian Fusion with contemporary American. The unique plates are difficult to describe for this traditional diner! Our two Entrees; a Duck Confit Special and the Slow Braised Short Ribs. Both excellent. For a wonderful meal and a very different food style the Black Sheep is perfect.

We’ve always enjoyed Lola’s. Our crab cake appetizer was great, my traditional jambalaya was very tasty. My wife ordered fettuccine Alfredo with deep fried chicken. The deep fried chicken was the best tasting chicken breast either of us has ever had s as d my wife orders Caesar salad with chicken all the time. The fettuccine Alfredo didn’t have much flavor. It seemed to both of us that it could use more cheese, preferably Parmesan Reggiano. We shared a bananas Foster for desert and loved it. Overall we’d give our experience about 4.9.

It was great food, great atmosphere, great prices, and lots of options. 8 miles off the beaten path of the strip was a great choice!
