Best Cozy Restaurants in Carencro

The team is always on point. Today we had the Shrimp Burger and Chicken and Waffles - with a side of Brussels (you have to get a side - no question) and everything was delicious. I wish they were in my neighborhood! Lafayette is lucky to have them.

We love Charley G's! Food is always consistently excellent. Husband and I had crab cakes and a cup of turtle soup. He also had the house salad which he said was the best salad he's ever had at a restaurant. We also shared the Cajun smashed potatoes which were delicious. One son had a house salad and a bowl of gumbo. He said the gumbo was delicious but there wasn't enough of it. The other son had the fish special -- sheepshead filet with a crawfish creme sauce with lump crab and 3 fried oysters on top of mashed potatoes. He said it was "out of this world." Charley G's is a great "special occasion" restaurant and the perfect place to take out-of-town guests.

Christmas Eve dinner! The food was absolutely delicious. Had the crabmeat cheesecake to start which was excellent. My family ordered the 12 oz steak, grilled Chilean sea bass with caper cream sauce, and the veal shank! My son loved the cheese pizza also!

There were three in our party. The calamari was superb! Very light and crispy. We had the tomato basil soup, grilled cheese sandwich, spaghetti and meatball and veal marsala. All of it was excellent.

The food was phenomenal! Highly recommend sliced brisket, chicken, mac and cheese and their cornbread! Their barbecue sauce that they bring out with your meal is delicious!
