- JJulieNew York City •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAll of our dishes were a very pleasant surprise! We had the Christmas seafood special. The calamari was tender. The shrimp on the second course was spectacular! As was the accompaniment. The main course entree of sea bass was generous and served on top of a potato patty with sauce. The sea bass was perfectly cooked. We had dirty martinis which were very good . Then I had a cucumber cooler which was over priced and just marginally satisfying. We also had an old fashioned which was just good, overpriced as well. How to make the meal better? We both thought that the sea bass would have been better served on a risotto cake or at least crispy potatoes. The patty ended up soggy and rather unappealing. Nor did it complement the sea bass. I would go for a lighter batter on the calamari. The tiramisu was a hit out of the ballpark, save the presentation…. It was served like it was just cut out of a sheet pan and plopped on a plate. It was delicious though. Our server was sweet and attentive. We did request to slow down each delivery of courses as we were drinking and enjoying the experience of the delicious courses and conversation.More infoMallards - ShakopeePrice: Moderate• Cajun• Shakopee•4.4
- DDickMinneapolis - St. Paul •49 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis was a Christmas celebration dinner, our aunt and uncle were very impressed with the ambience, service and food. The restaurant was very crowded, but not too noisy. The pork chops were tender and delicious. A very generous serving. The shrimp and scallop pasta was also generous, fresh and lemon-y. The popovers were a perfect first course. The steak salad dish was prepared rare and perfect. The walleye taco bowl had the right amount of spice, sauce and veg. We ordered the bread pudding to share, it was massive, the 4 of us tried but could not finish it. Hazelwood does not disappoint, we can count on it for a warm, laid back, delicious, attentive experience. - NNancyMinneapolis - St. Paul •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 16, 2024We had a lovely night at Buca. One of our family favorite restaurants. We celebrated my brother and niece visiting from out of town with a dinner at Buca. My brothers wife who had to stay home is so jealous. We will bring her next time she visits.More infoBuca di Beppo - Eden PrairiePrice: Moderate• Italian• Eden Prairie•4.7

It has a lot of the same fun and energetic vibes we were looking for, and of course the Parlour burger! The staff was attentive and helpful. The "Who you Callin' Jerk" cocktail was fantastic! It's a fun cozy spot and we are excited to go backMore infoParlour ExcelsiorPrice: Moderate• American• Excelsior•5
