“A stones throw away from Dalston Kingsland Station you will find The Dalston Jazz Bar. It’s a full on restaurant up until 10 PM. They serve an array of fresh seafood as well as yummy beer from a local brewery and cocktails. The live band plays throughout the night with a few breaks. Beautiful restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden. Great decor and atmosphere- cosy and comfortable. Set lunch was very good and excellent value. It was very busy and thus initial service was a little slow, but otherwise excellent, and no pressure to finish/leave (our booking was 2.00pm). Would definitely return.

We had a lovely meal - tasty , unusual and good value. We chose two Afghani dishes , Chicken in yoghurt and lentil dahl and a shepherds salad. They were all flavoursome , gently spices and cooked to perfection. The ingredients especially of the Shepherds salad were fresh and delicious. They have a good mix of meat and veggie dishes We had a beer and a some glasses of wine all of which were great. We went on a week night, before a gig at EartH next door and service was prompt and helpful even with a full restaurant. The ambiance is warm and friendly - a real oasis on a busy High st. I'd thoroughly recommend a visit to the Zer Middle Eastern Kitchen.
