Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. The restaurant was well decorated and maintained. There were great songs playing, and these were similar to ones I listen to on my own. The music was also not too loud which was great. The waitress was very attentive and checked that we enjoyed our time/food.

Everything about the experience was great, from our hostess to our waiter. Food was all outstanding, and for the quality of it, the value was insane! This was recommended by a friend and I would pay that forward for anyone else visiting London and looking to enjoy a beautiful meal in an inviting setting that feels comfortable and relaxed.

In a year of enjoying some great meals, Silo has consistently delivered some of the very best. Every time we’ve visited, the experience has been flawless. Course after course of innovative, flavoursome, beautiful food. Tonight’s was the best yet. This places excites me. The evolution we’ve seen is amazing. New twists on existing dishes take each to an even higher level. And their value-driven, ‘no waste’ ethos is outstanding. Our favourite restaurant this year. So looking forward to many more meals in 2025.
