The shrimp on the second course was spectacular! As was the accompaniment. The main course entree of sea bass was generous and served on top of a potato patty with sauce. The sea bass was perfectly cooked. We had dirty martinis which were very good . Then I had a cucumber cooler which was over priced and just marginally satisfying. We also had an old fashioned which was just good, overpriced as well. How to make the meal better? We both thought that the sea bass would have been better served on a risotto cake or at least crispy potatoes. The patty ended up soggy and rather unappealing. Nor did it complement the sea bass. I would go for a lighter batter on the calamari. The tiramisu was a hit out of the ballpark, save the presentation…. It was served like it was just cut out of a sheet pan and plopped on a plate. It was delicious though. Our server was sweet and attentive. We did request to slow down each delivery of courses as we were drinking and enjoying the experience of the delicious courses and conversation.More infoMallards - ShakopeePrice: Moderate• Cajun• Shakopee•4.3

The restaurant was very crowded, but not too noisy. The pork chops were tender and delicious. A very generous serving. The shrimp and scallop pasta was also generous, fresh and lemon-y. The popovers were a perfect first course. The steak salad dish was prepared rare and perfect. The walleye taco bowl had the right amount of spice, sauce and veg. We ordered the bread pudding to share, it was massive, the 4 of us tried but could not finish it. Hazelwood does not disappoint, we can count on it for a warm, laid back, delicious, attentive experience. Setting the reservation was easy, and our table was ready right on time. We got the breaking bread appetizer, very good! Their garlic butter is super good, lots of garlic we all really enjoyed it. My grilled salmon was nicely cooked, not dry, and the seasonal vegetables we great (red onion, carrots, and parsnips) if I had to be nit picky, it seemed like some of the rice was under done, but it wasn't bad. My husband and my mother got one of the weekly dishes, a chicken pesto pasta dish he was very happy with it, and there was more than enough to fill him up and take home leftovers! My father got the fiesta chicken pasta and said he liked it quite a bit. Overall, it was worth the price, I feel.More infoRedstone American Grill - Eden PrairiePrice: Expensive• American• Eden Prairie•4.5
