- IIreneGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had an amazing experience at Bar Vlaha last night. The place is charming, the food absolutely fabulous, waitstaff knowledgeable and helpful. We had the bread with three different spreads, each better than the next. The mushroom appetiser was spectacular. Entrees of lamb, and wild boar were amazing. An assortment of desserts was delightful. Could not have had a better night. We cannot wait to return.More infoBar VlahaPrice: Moderate• Greek• Brookline•4.9
- CChloeGreater Boston •14 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoGreat time at B&B as always! Service was attentive, which was great. The food was just ok this time, but it might’ve been an off-day for the kitchen. Still one of my go-tos! Got the biscuit basket (10/10), the hash scramble (5/10), and the biscuits and gravy (6/10). The Biscuits and Gravy tend to be my favorite but the gravy was really watery this time and had soooo many crunchy onions.More infoButtermilk & Bourbon - Arsenal YardPrice: Moderate• Southern• Watertown•4.5
- SStevevipGreater Boston •19 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoEverything was delicious, especially the beets appetizer and the risotto. Not a lot of vegetarian options on the menu, but they will modify menu items to accommodate vegetarians. Overall, a lovely place for dinner.More infoButtonwoodPrice: Expensive• American• Newton•4.6
- MMargaretvipGreater Boston •84 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 12, 2024An excellent small restaurant in Newton Center. Staff provides a warm welcome and great service. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, wine and food are superb. Try their fall/winter mushroom board with four innovative takes on familiar recipes. We will return!More infoFarmstead TablePrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Newton•4.6
- KKarenvipGreater Boston •32 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 5, 2024This was our third time at The Bluebird Bar, our first for a special occasion, a birthday. We ordered mussels as an appetizer, which were absolutely delicious and plentiful. The main course of salmon, which my husband asked to have cooked through was good, but kind of bland. My steak tips were good and came with fries that were exceptional! The curious part came towards the end of our time there. We were well-fed, but might have ordered a dessert, since this was a birthday celebration. The bill came and no dessert menu was offered, nor was any little gesture made in honor of the birthday. The person seating us did give happy birthday wishes verbally, but that was it. Most times we and friends have eaten out to celebrate a birthday, some gesture has been made at other restaurants. We enjoy The Bluebird Bar and will return, but my advice to the restaurant is to pay some kind of tangible attention to someone celebrating a birthday with you.More infoThe Bluebird BarPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• West Newton•4.5
