Starter and main course menus provides a great range both in terms of choice and price. I felt desert menu more limiting, too much focus on nut and coffee flavourings although chocolate fondent was scrumptious. All the staff that greet are ultra polite and in a very natural and normal way not an overbearing or overly formal way. The level of service is above anything I’ve experienced in the surrounding area. Prior to the food arriving, with the ambience of the restaurant and the politeness and warmth shown by the staff I had no doubt that the food was also going to be excellent. I wasn’t wrong. It was all first class and we will be back in the future. There are a lot of bar/restaurant type establishments around Penistone and Holmfirth but in the restaurant area this place is a step above anything I have experienced elsewhere.
